Simmaron Research
Simmaron Research Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Incline Village, Nevada. Our work is designed to help advance translational science that leads to the clinician’s office and ultimately improves the quality of life for people suffering from CFS/ME and related neuroimmune disorders. Simmaron Research Inc. has access to a rich repository of biological samples and data records. Simmaron’s access to this biobank makes research studies more powerful and exacting, and the clinical experience of its Scientific Advisors enhances Simmaron’s ability to study well-defined patient cohorts.
With a generous gift from the Neuro Immune Disease Alliance, Simmaron will house the NIDA BioProcessing Centre laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art devices enabling Simmaron to collect, process and archive human biological samples. Our laboratory will have the capacity to fractionate blood into various subcomponents including serum, plasma, and mononuclear cells. These archived biological samples will be made available for research studies which seek to elucidate the pathologic mechanisms underlying CFS/ME and other chronic neurologic and immunologic illnesses.
