Dr. Sonya Marshall-Gradisnik is one of Australia's foremost researchers in the area of neuroimmunology and she has been instrumental in establishing the Public Health and Neuroimmunology Unit (PHANU) at Bond University. She is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Bond’s Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine and has been highly successful in attracting large research grants for CFS/ME. PHANU conducts immunological research with a specialty in Natural Killer Cell function and a focus on development of a suite of biomarkers for CFS/ME. Dr. Marshall-Gradisnik received the Women in Technology Biotech Rising Star Award for 2010.
